A Rich History of Child-Centered Care
Extended day is a warm, child centered experience that kids love. Established in1986 as a non-profit childcare program, Southborough Extended Day is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. The program currently cares for over 200 children, representing almost 160 families from Southborough.
Designed by working parents for children.
Our program was developed for kids in grades K-8, using a community-wide parent group. This group identified the key components of a successful extended day program-- one which provides a blend of educational and social enrichment for children. The program was created with the premise that ensures parents their children have a safe, healthy and happy out of school environment.

Over twenty years later, SEDP is still thriving...
Our program is continually reviewed to meet today’s childcare and activity demands.
We make sure kids are able to take advantage of all the town has to offer while attending SEDP. Since we are located in Southborough's school buildings--kids have the unique ability to participate in afterschool extracurriculum programs such as scouting, RAP and Intramural Sports. After they enjoy their programs, they safely return to SEDP for the rest of the afternoon. Parents like knowing kids will be safe and kids are happy to be a part of their chosen activities.
