Southborough Extended Day is a program that is all about people. The program is always child-focused. The experience and dedication to students is evident in all aspects of the program, but particularly in its staff selection. The program takes staffing very seriously and maintains the highest care standards for staff.
High Standards...
Each of our employees undergo a formal hiring and training process. Our site coordinators have a solid background in childhood education and have experience via college level studies and/or life experience. All staff routinely play an active role in the care of students through planning a wide variety of activities and learning experiences. The program also offers specialty activities such as cooking, creativity in the arts, physical play, an independent reading library, free play and computer access.
SEDP is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. This group of leaders is made up of the parents of students enrolled in our program. They go to great lengths to make sure SEDP is always at its best.
